We are a Kampala-based growth studio of strategists, creatives, and media buyers. We exist for one reason: to build the marketing engine our clients should have built themselves if they had the time.
Two founders, ten years of agency life between them, and one shared conviction: most agencies sell motion, not progress.
Akelis Media was founded in 2021 after a year of late-night conversations about everything wrong with the regional agency model: bloated retainers, junior staff doing senior work, decks that out-paced delivery, and reporting that hid more than it revealed.
We started with three clients, a borrowed studio in Bugolobi, and a promise: every account would be led by a partner, every dollar of spend would be reviewed weekly, and every piece of creative would have to earn its place by either making money or making the brand impossible to ignore.
Five years in, we are eleven people across strategy, paid media, video, and web. We have managed over $48M in ad spend for brands across hospitality, DTC, and SaaS. The promise has not changed.

The internal rules we use to decide what work we take and how we run it.
We measure ourselves on what shows up in your bank account, not on impressions, awards, or motion design reels.
No juniors hidden behind a deck. The team that wins the pitch is the team that does the work.
A live ad you can iterate on beats a perfect plan in a drawer. Week one is for production, not strategy theatre.
If a channel is not paying off, we will say so first, even if it is the one you hired us to run.
Both still on every account. Neither plans to change that. The people who win the pitch are the people who do the work.
